Government through the Ministry of Industry and Commerce came to the rescue of Binga flood victims, through food and accessory donations.
Vice President Kembo Mohadi while presenting the donation said the government would continue assisting those left homeless and without own food in the wake of the floods.
“We are going to help you in all ways, the help is not going to come from our pockets as the government. We are going to be helping you with other corporations and a lot of other NGOs, ” he said.
He expressed gratitude over the role played by Binga during the liberation war struggle.
“The most important thing is unity, back in the day we started here where we used to walk from Zambia on foot, you helped us with food, you helped us by hiding us and you gave us information on where the enemy was and what they were doing,”he said.

He said their contributions to Zimbabwe’s Independence is highly appreciated
“So we will never forget you, you contributed to the Independence of Zimbabwe, “Mohadi said.
