Chiedza Makwara is a woman of many talents; she is an Entrepreneur, Business Woman, Broadcaster Author, Scriptwriter, Producer. She is a fort right thinker who merged all her business interests and talents to create her brand. Chiedza Makwara is a leading voice in gender equality in the Arts industry as well as in Business.

Career Corporate
She is the founder and Managing Director of Charlie Stevens International a logistics company that specializes in customs Clearance, Freight Forwarding, Courier Warehouses, and Permit applications, and has 12 years plus experience in the field of logistics. The company was founded in 2016 and has gone on to be a recognizable brand with great service.

Her passion for broadcasting and communications has landed her a job presenting at HSTV on the top show “Off the Menu” her show is a lifestyle show that focuses on a book review, the arts and events

Career in Art
Chiedza has been sharing stories since her childhood, Her book Bongile Journey to Redemption was a best seller in 2017 and it continues to do well in Zimbabwe and beyond borders. The book was adapted into a Musical theater production which she scripted and Executively produced and sold out 5 nights in November 2019 and won 2 NAMAS in February 2020 hence making it one of the greatest theatrical productions to ever come out of Zimbabwe. She writes about real life, real people, and real issues with the aim to inspire and change lives. She has written articles for International magazines like the “International Woman”

Other interests and affiliations
Chiedza sits on the board of Kukosha which is an organization that facilitates safe spaces for children and young women in vulnerable situations.
Her other interests are in hospitality as she works closely with upmarket coffee shop “Chai Cafe”; doing brand management.
She is the Chairperson of the Bongile Trust which is an organization that pushes for inclusion of women in the arts industry as well as content creation for young people within Zimbabwe.
