Breaking Barriers in Global Health Security – Dr Ngozi Erondu a Game Changer

Dr. Ngozi is one of the youngest Africans who were at the forefront of Global Health Security researching on finding vaccines for Corona Virus and Ebola Virus as well as being a senior health advisor to the Government of England.  She is truly passionate about finding solutions for people all over the world to live healthier lives.

Dr. Ngozi opened up on her journey, challenges included on Morning Latte. One of the major challenges she alluded to is culture and she shared a vivid memory of her experiences in Guinea as the Ebola virus was prevalently claiming the lives of many people. She had a difficult time explaining to some of the Muslim communities members that they were not to wash the bodies of the deceased as that would be a super spreader of the deadly Ebola virus yet some were defiant because they believed that nothing would happen to them.

As the Corona Virus keeps spreading and claiming lives there is a serious concern globally on how it will end. Getting deeper into the conversation Doctor Ngozi said that it is critical for each country to take its own precautions to protect its people.
